Tanner Bowman
$380 – $480
Inspired by lava lamps, disco divas, and Barbie and Ken, the Groovy Bouquet Hot Mess Vessel by Tanner Bowman is a joyful celebration of life's imperfections. Handmade by Bowman in their Chicago studio, these one-of-a-kind vessels are crafted by layering pigmented hot glue over a glass vase to form intricate, unpredictable patterns. The hot glue is then embedded with vintage brooches and flat-back pearls, creating a cheeky nod to the vintage, campy past that dances playfully with the present.
The Grandma’s Bouquet Hot Mess Vessel by Tanner Bowman draws inspiration from none other than the designer’s fabulously stylish, hoarder grandmother—or, as they say, the original “hot mess.” This vessel is one-of-a-kind, handmade by layering pigmented hot glue over a glass vase to form intricate, unpredictable patterns. The piece is studded with flat-back pearls and vintage brooches, a design choice that joyfully juxtaposes history and pays tribute to the beauty discovered in the messy, the eclectic, and the disarray that is life itself.
The Little Boy Blue Hot Mess Vessel by Tanner Bowman is an imaginative ode to classic rock and country anthems, including "Blue Bayou" by Linda Ronstadt, "Lovesick Blues" by Patsy Cline, "Blue" by Leanne Rimes, "Blue Angel" by Roy Orbison, and "Want One" by Rufus Wainwright. This vessel's intricate, one-of-a-kind folds are formed by layering colored hot glue over a glass vase. Bowman then studs the plastic upholstery with flat-backed pearls and a vintage brooch from their personal collection.
Inspired by the designer's mother and her passion for her garden, the Green Chrysanthemum Hot Mess Vessel is the perfect container in which to arrange your own favorite flower. Crafted by layering pigmented hot glue over glass vases to form intricate, unpredictable patterns, then studded with lavender flat-backed pearls and a vintage brooch, this eccentric vessel from Chicago-based Tanner Bowman is joyfully one-of-a-kind.
