Incorporating the dynamic visual vocabulary of maps, urban-planning grids, and architectural forms, the work of painter Julie Mehretu combines abstract forms with the familiar in intricately layered fictional landscapes. This editioned print commemorates Mehretu’s yearlong residency at the Walker. Co-published with Highpoint Editions, Entropia (review) weds screenprint and lithographic techniques to faithfully translate her luminous imagery to the medium of printmaking.
