Three Seasons: A Subjective Consideration of the Minnesota Porch

Written and illustrated by Monica Sheets.

The three-season porch, an enclosed, uninsulated addition to the front of a house, is ubiquitous in most residential neighborhoods of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Artist Monica Sheets investigates the phenomena, identifying physical aspects of these structures, and how they invite (or, in many cases, repel) interaction between the occupants and the neighborhood around them. Includes black-and-white illustrations by the author.
