Vase 1

"I wanted to include the classic elements of a vase rather than creating my own unconventional form. I focused on a timeless silhouette and then added my layered folds and subtle alterations to introduce movement and depth.

The result is something familiar but distinctly my own — functional vases with a sculptural presence, where I’m gently pushing the boundaries of a traditional shape while still keeping it balanced and timeless." - Dara Schuman
