The word “ijo” in Yoruba translates to “dance”. This artwork celebrates London’s colourful history. Over centuries Caribbean rum, coffee, sugarcane, tobacco and tropical fruit would arrive by ship into the city’s Royal Docks. Imbued with a sense of joy, the pattern celebrates this cultural exchange through the art of storytelling. Look closely and notice the abstract pineapples within the clashing colours and striking shapes.
Crafted in Portugal, the tablecloth has been tightly-woven from pure cotton, adorned with an intricate, geometric jacquard motif. Designed for longevity, this tablecloth is both durable and hard-wearing, perfect to use on the dining table or as an impromptu picnic blanket for summer days.
